As queer women, we feel obligated to see anything associated with Kristen Stewart – and the new Charlie’s Angels trailer is satisfying our most recent cravings ahead of the films release in November.
Rather than a reboot, the new Charlie’s Angels is a continuation of the 2000s movies and the 1970s television series. It imagines what has happened next in the story with a different feel and a brand new cast.
Elizabeth Banks directs this next generation of Angels – Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska – working for the mysterious Charles Townsend who has expanded his agency since the point where the last film left off…
The emphasis of this edition is on the new (super queer and super crush-worthy) squad. Stewart plays Sabina, a master of disguise, Balinska plays a former MI6 agent called Jane and Scott is Elena, a client training to be part of the spy world – aka, the smartest, most fearless, most highly-trained women all over the globe.
Based on the brand new trailer, we can expect lots of fun costume changes, lots of flirting and lots of drooling over K-Stew.
The new Charlie’s Angels is also providing us with a killer soundtrack featuring five brand new tracks from HRH Ariana Grande. (Something tells us this is going to be up there with our favourite films this year, amiright?)
