Singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan, 28, has announced that her and her partner of six years, Georgina Gordon have decided to “part ways on [their] adventure.”
Lucy announced the news via her Instagram, writing: “It’s with sadness to let you know that after nearly 6 years of joy, fun and true love Georgina and I have decided to part ways on our adventure.
“We have shared the most amazing times and life together, and we are truly grateful for knowing love at its full capacity.
“We will continue on our paths as the ultimate friends, and dog Mums, united by the bond and memories we will always have.
“We are eternally thankful for the support you have offered us; in this time of hardship we will appreciate space and and time to deal with the change.”
The day before posting the news, Lucy had also shared how she’d been struggling with both her physical and mental health:
“Was taking a picture for Instagram as I normally do after a show and incidentally ended up with this photo. Today has been really tough, I haven’t felt well physically or mentally, and I’ve been struggling with a lot of things for a bit.
“It’s not often it makes its way into a show (because that is my entirely happy place and it’s what I look forward to every night) but tonight during the one bloody sad song I played, I cried.
“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who cheered me on and basically everyone who supports me all the time, even when I’m having a hard time.
“I see you all. Each day at a time.”
Sending you both lots of love from DIVA HQ.
