The stars of Feel Good talk representation and authenticity

In the brand new issue of DIVA we have a heart-to-heart (OK, a Zoom-to-Zoom) with stars of Netflix comedy Feel Good, Mae Martin and Charlotte Ritchie.
Here’s a taster of what they had to say.
Mae on being non-binary
“We’re in this transitional time. I hope in the future there will be a less gendered world, so there is more space for people like me to feel more comfortable.”
Charlotte on the power of authenticity
“This is a very specific story about two people, but it managed to speak to so many people’s experiences. That says a lot about how being particularly honest or personal can actually really connect with people.”
Mae on queer representation
“When there’s so little representation, there’s a pressure to represent everyone. We wanted fans of the first series to feel satisfied, but we also wanted to challenge ourselves and go deeper with the issues we’re exploring.”
PLUS Mae and Charlotte open up about working with Lisa Kudrow, filming sex scenes and that BAFTA nomination
Seasons 1 and 2 of Feel Good are on Netflix now
