INTERVIEW BY ROXY BOURDILLON, IMAGE BY GUY LEVY, BBC/WORLD OF WONDER
Readers, grab your purses and prepare to read about the fabulous Victoria Scone. The drag queen made herstory this year as the first cisgender female drag queen to appear on the iconic Ru Paul’s Drag Race. And yes, she’s as sensational in real life as she was on screen.
So get comfortable DIVAs and prepare yourselves a treat, because this is your teaser for what she had to say:
Starting out in drag
“I was told straight away, ‘This isn’t a competition for you’. Obviously, I didn’t let it stop me … Showed them, didn’t I?”
“It’s a beautiful vessel that carries me around. I’m not going to spend my life wasting away thinking about what it looks like. My girlfriend loves me for who I am. I like who I am, and that’s all that matters.”
“She’s the best possible person I could ask for. I don’t know what I did in a past life to end up with her, but she’s so perfect. Not to be soft, but she is! Best friend, best PA, best girlfriend.”
