Fabulous news, DIVAs! In a watershed moment for LGBTQI women and non-binary people, comedian Rosie Jones, DJ and music producer SHERELLE, and our very own editor Roxy Bourdillon have been honoured in the Attitude 101 List. Yay!

An incredible moment in DIVA’s history, Roxy has worked tirelessly since the beginning of her editorship to elevate DIVA as a home not only for lesbians, but also for trans, non-binary, bisexual, disabled people and many, many more. Under her leadership, DIVA has celebrated its 300th issue, pioneered exciting new cover designs, and introduced a brand-spanking-new editorial team. Congratulations, Roxy.

Empowered by Bentley, the Attitude 101 exists to recognise the LGBTQI trailblazers making the world a better place for people like us. Having visible role models is critical for LGBTQI empowerment, and if COVID-19 has taught us anything, it’s that community is everything. The 100 names on this list embody this very thought.

The list honours individuals across ten categories spanning Politics, Travel, Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, Sport, Third Sector & Community, The Future, Media & Broadcast, Business, Financial & Legal, Film, TV & Music, and Fashion, Art & Design. Further recognising actress Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, drag artist Victoria Scone, social media star Jojo Siwa, author Shon Faye and asexual activist and model Yasmin Benoit amongst many, many more incredible names, this year’s list places LGBTQI women and non-binary people front and centre.

Cliff Joannou, Editor-In-Chief of Attitude, states: “The LGBTQ+ community is broad and diverse, we are in every culture, nationality, ethnicity, class, religion. One thing that unites us is the process of coming out, both to ourselves and others, sometimes with ease and at other times with great difficulty. With the Attitude 101, empowered by Bentley, we celebrate those whose intersectional identities have helped them excel in their careers as openly LGBTQ+ scientists, lawyers, actors, musicians, politicians, engineers, designers and beyond in our annual list of LGBTQ+ trailblazers”.

And that’s not all! The full list was published in the Attitude 101 issue, released on Thursday 2 December. Furthermore, a digital version was released on Friday 3 December, coinciding with a fancy reception at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel for those honoured. Congratulations, all.

DIVA magazine celebrates 27 years in print in 2021. If you like what we do, then get behind LGBTQI media and keep us going for another generation. Your support is invaluable.
